James Macharia arrived at his new home at Haven on the Hill on 18 May, 2011 at age 4 (approx).

Birthdate: 12 May, 2007 (estimated)

James Macharia and his brother David Mungai were committed to Nairobi Children's Home by Thika Children's Court. No one knows who their parents or relatives are or if any are living, and no one claimed them, so we did.

Nov, 2011: Phil says "Macharia is an entertainer. He loves to ham it up. He is also a good athlete. When we gave the boys a jump rope to share, Macharia quickly became the most proficient of all the boys at using it. He loves to receive attention competes well for it."
